As a Regional Partner for ArchCo Residential, Douglas Hoy is responsible for identifying and executing development opportunities, with a particular emphasis in the southwest. In this role, Mr. Hoy’s activities include site identification, acquisition, entitlement, design, budget oversight, and start-up operations of new development projects. Mr. Hoy has 34 years of real estate experience in property development, acquisition, capitalization and operations.

Mr. Hoy’s recent projects include the development of a luxury residential community in Nashville, Tennessee and the development of a portfolio of projects utilizing the HUD 221(d)4 program. Mr. Hoy also completed a three-year engagement with a multifamily REIT where he created the development platform that allowed for 21 projects to be successfully co-developed with 10 joint venture partners in 14 markets across the country.

Mr. Hoy served as a Senior Vice President for the Related Group of Florida in the early 2000s. In addition to developing and marketing garden apartments and high rise condominiums, Mr. Hoy directed the design and initial development efforts for two town centers including the design of a city hall and performing arts center.

Prior to the Related Group, Mr. Hoy led Trammel Crow Residential’s national efforts in the Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI). With TCR operating as the co-developer and property manager, the joint venture was awarded Fort Hood, the largest MHPI bid to that date. Prior to his time at TCR, Mr. Hoy also served as a Regional Partner for JPI, where he directed the acquisition, development and management of numerous apartment communities in Florida.

Mr. Hoy is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife and family.
